Who is it for?

Anyone who is looking to transform their body composition, create healthier habits, learn about their nutrition, and someone who wants to win some cold hard cash! 


This challenge is designed to help provide you with a template to improve your health and set you on track to accomplishing your goals. This challenge will incentivize improvements in the following areas: 

  • Nutrition: We will provide recommendations and guidelines based on what we believe will yields success but ultimately you can follow whatever protocol you would like. Here are some of the categories we will encourage you to address: 

    • Protein​

    • Calories - tracking your food

    • Avoiding seed oils

    • Avoiding alcohol

    • Eating whole nutritious food

  • Sleep: Sleep is so important not only for body composition and weight loss but for your overall health and longevity. 

  • Workouts: This should be an easy one right?! It always is until life gets in the way. 

  • Get outside: This time of year it may not be as “welcoming” to get outside. The goal of this is to get outside, breathe fresh air, and maybe, just maybe be able to soak up some sunshine. 


Throughout this challenge, we are encouraging you to do this with a partner or partners. Grab a partner (they can be from within or outside the gym), AKA your "accountabili-buddy," and help keep each other stay accountable throughout the 6 weeks. This is not required but we do encourage you to find someone you can do this 6-week challenge with!

Dexa Scan

This year we are going to incorporate the Dexa Scan into the challenge. Getting a Dexa scan is NOT required but we do encourage it and we will be awarding an individual with the best Dexa Scan improvements at the end of the challenge. We have partnered with the Teton Valley Hospital to provide a body composition scan at a discounted rate of $50. You can schedule your Dexa scan by calling 208-354-2383. You will have until January 15th to submit your Dexa Scan.

How it works: 

Step 1: Sign up and COMMIT to the 2023 Nutrition Challenge!

Step 1 (optional): Schedule & complete your Dexa scan

Step 1 (optional): Find a partner to do the challenge with. Plan to communicate with this partner at least once a week.


Step 2: Read through the eBook that we will send you upon signing up for the challenge.


Step 3: Upon signing up you will be prompted to fill out the intake form which includes current weight, measurements, "before" photos, and your nutrition calculations (macros & calories). Submissions close on January 11th, 2023 at 11:59 PM MST. The challenge officially begins on January 9th, 2023, and ends on February 19th, 2023.

Note: If you do a Dexa scan, you have until the 15th to submit it your Dexa scan.


Step 4: Follow the protocol outlined in the ebook, log your success throughout the 6 weeks in our app SugarWOD or through the habit tracker, keep your partner accountable, set goals, learn new healthy habits, and stay the course for 6 weeks to see the incredible progress that can happen!


Step 5: Fill out the post Nutrition Challenge form and submit your “after” photos, measurements, and possible Dexa scan in the intake form provided at the end of the challenge. 


Step 6: Winners of the challenge will be announced between the dates of February 24th and March 1st, 2023. 


  • Do I have to follow the nutrition guidelines provided in the ebook? No, you don't HAVE to do anything we provide you but we recommend it! If you want to do a specific diet for the duration of the 6 weeks that is fine the goal is that you invest in yourself for the next 6 weeks and establish habits that ultimately lead to a favorable transformation. You can follow whatever you want in the end, we are judging the winners off their transformation. 

  • Do I have to take photos of myself? Technically no, but you MUST submit them in order to be in a running to win the prizes. No photos, no chance of winning the prizes.

  • Do I have to be a member of Targhee Athletics to participate? No, anyone is welcome to join the challenge!

  • I am clueless and would like more accountability, what do you recommend? We recommend that you hire a coach! If you are interested in working with a coach to help you more in-depth with your nutrition please email
